Al-Istibsar

Al-Istibsar (Arabic: الاستِبصار), compiled by Shaykh al-Tusi (d. 460/1067), is one of the four major Shia hadith collections. It focuses on traditions related to Islamic law, presenting differing narrations on the same issue and offering reconciliation or explanation to resolve apparent contradictions. This structured approach makes Al-Istibsar both a legal and methodological work, valued for its clarity and precision in organizing jurisprudential traditions within the Shia scholarly tradition.
